A 16-year old is 20% more likely to be killed in a crash than an adult

Mom & Dad, this is for you and may help calm your nerves if your teens are getting their permits to drive.  A Couple of weeks ago, I was at the DMV with my son Tanner waiting in line to get his permit and I happen to see a few parents there for the same thing we were, and I can tell there was a little anxiety going on with a couple of people, just knowing their kids are about to get behind the wheel of a 3500-pound vehicle.

If you are helping your kids study the driver’s handbook, like myself I want to alert you about something very cool this weekend at PIR.

The Tire Rack Street Survival driving school is back and a great experience for all.  The program is in its 16th year, having trained over 25,000 new drivers in over 1,000 schools!

Tire Rack Street Survival® is open to licensed and permitted drivers ages 15 – 21. Forms, schedules, and more information can be found online at www.streetsurvival.org. The cost is $95 per student and some insurance companies offer premium discounts to graduates.
