A popular trick for drying a wet phone supposedly doesn’t work.

We have all been there, two of my kids have dropped their iPhone in puddles, the lake and even in the toilet yup the TOLIET And what’s the 1st thing we typically run and do when this happens Throw it in a bowl or bag of rice, well guess what!   NO SUCH LUCK

The website iFixit says putting a wet phone in rice “is the same thing as doing nothing if your phone works after getting soaked, you simply got “lucky.” Instead, they recommend soaking your phone in rubbing alcohol, of all things. turns out  The alcohol can displace water “before it has a chance to dry on your device’s expensive circuitry.
