Blake Shelton Donates $150,000 to Oklahoma Food Bank During COVID-19 Fundraiser
Oklahoma native Blake Shelton paid it forward this week when he announced that he’d be donating $150,000 to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma during the coronavirus pandemic. “A lot of Oklahomans are going to bed hungry tonight. That’s not something that I can live with,” Shelton said in a video message this week for KOCO 5-TV, which organized the “Give From Home Day” fundraiser. “That’s why I’m going to be donating to the Regional Food Bank, the Oklahoma Food Bank. I hope you will join me and help from home. Send in that donation because a lot of people out there are counting on us.”
The initiative raised more than $400,000 in all to fund the food bank.
