Boy Erased Movie Review

What’s more important, your personal beliefs or giving unconditional love to your child. Oh, it’s about to get deep!
Boy Erased tackles some pretty intense subject matter in a very raw and direct way. Based on a true story, it follows the son of a Baptist pastor in a small town who comes out to his parents, played by Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman. They struggle with reconciling their love for their son with their religious beliefs. He is pressured into attending a conversion therapy program and begins his journey to finding his own voice and accepting his true self. This movie will certainly earn many Oscar Nominations. I predict Best Picture and acting nods for Crowe & Kidman. I’ll give Boy Erased four out of five emojis. I’ll use the family and heartbreak emojis for the tough subject matter, a fountain pen, referencing something from the movie and a trophy for the Awards this movie is sure to rack up. Be sure to check out my other One Minute Movie Reviews for Bohemian Rhapsody & The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.
