There’s a fuel shortage in Mexico right now that’s preventing farmers from shipping enough avocados to the U.S. to meet Super Bowl guacamole demand. As Reuters reports, only 27,000 out of an expected 120,000 tons of avocados have been shipped so far as Mexico’s gasoline supply dwindles, with the big game on February 3 fast approaching. “Cue the guapocalypse,” quips Eater.
