Brad Paisley & Lady Antebellum Perform Without a Crowd for Charity

On Friday night, Brad Paisley and Lady Antebellum performed a crowd-less, live-streamed full-production concert, according to Rolling Stone. Lady Antebellum took the Nashville stage first, performing six feet apart. Paisley kept a safe distance from his own band as they went through “Crushin’ It,” ”Last Time for Everything,” and other hits, as well as Don Henley’s “Boys of Summer.” Paisley also kept an eye on social media, answering questions and taking a request from a New York City nurse who wanted to hear his new tune “No I in Beer.” For that song, the large screen behind the star displayed videos of fans drinking beer.

The country A-lister also had a message for graduates as he performed his pensive ballad, “Letter to Me.” Said Paisley, “High school is not the best years of your life. I gotta imagine that ‘s absolutely more true than ever this year. You’re missing out on a lot and I don’t know how we’ll ever repay yo for what’s been robbed from you. But my advice to you is, make this is a better world. It will be yours. it is yours. You can do better than we have. Fix this. Do things that make the world better.”

Paisley’s tour was supposed to start on May 15, but has been postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. The two-hour show on Friday was a part of Bud Light’s Seltzer Sessions; proceeds will go to the American Red Cross.
