Chrissy Teigen Trades Banana Bread for Lettuce With YouTube Star Chris Klemens

If the coronavirus pandemic leads to the total collapse of society, at least Chrissy Teigen just proved we’ll all be able to fall back on the barter system. “I’ll make a banana bread for anyone that has romaine lettuce. The trade will be made six feet apart and we will place the goods on the floor. no funny business,” the Cravings author tweeted Monday. Luckily for her, YouTube star Chris Klemens was nearby and had the goods, even filming himself holding a bag of three romaine heads from Trader Joe’s.

The tradeoff went down in a church parking lot in L.A. on Tuesday, using a toy wagon to roll goods between both parties. Teigen ultimately ponied up two pieces of pie and a bottle of wine–but only half a loaf of banana bread, because husband John Legend wanted the other half.
