Danny’s Game Day Nacho Recipe

The Super Bowl is set and the LA Rams are facing off against the Cincinnati Bengals at So Fi Stadium in Los Angeles Sunday, Feb 13th. If you’re planning a watch party with your family and friends then you know there are going to be a lot of requests for some game-day snacks and great food. One of Danny’s New Year resolutions is to be a better Cook in 2022 and is sharing his Game Day Nacho Recipe to enjoy with your team.
It’s Simple
1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
2 lb. ground beef
1 packet of Taco Bell taco seasoning
a Pinch of kosher salt
1 (15-oz.) can refried beans
1/4 c. water
2 large bags of tortilla chips
2 c. shredded cheddar
2 c. Shredded Monterey jack
or 1- Large Jar of Tostitos Queso Chees sauce
Garnish It with
1 large tomato, diced
1 avocado, diced
1/4 c. thinly sliced green onions
1/4 c. fresh cilantro leaves (optional)
Sour cream, for drizzling
Taco Bell Hot sauce, for drizzling
Cooking Directions
- Add garlic and taco seasoning and season with salt. Cook until meat is well browned and slightly crispy, 5 minutes more. Add refried beans and water to skillet and stir until combined.
- Add half the tortilla chips and top with beef-bean mixture, half the cheese, half the black beans, and Black Olives. Repeat one more layer.
- Bake until cheese is melty, 15 minutes.
- Scatter with tomato, avocado, green onions, and cilantro. Drizzle with sour cream and hot sauce and serve immediately.
