Don’t put it off any longer? It’s time to get rid of your prescription meds
Spring is in the air, and that means it’s time to freshen up, open the doors and clean out the winter blues. It also means it’s a good time to get rid of the stuff you no longer need. So open that medicine cabinet and look for all those out of date prescriptions that are taking up space in your junk drawers, vanity cabinets and put it all together and mark it down in your calendar to load it up and drop it off at the official Clark Co Drug Take back event.
Here something to think about? the most common drugs misused by teens & adults come from family & friends’ home medicine cabinets? 75% of opioid misuse starts with using medication that wasn’t prescribed for them. Safely disposing of unwanted & expired medication using a take-back program or event protects loved ones, also Did you know medications not disposed of properly end up in our waterways? I say let’s all work together to keep these substances away from youth & out of our waterways to protect what we call gods country.
