“Family Feud” Contestant Who Said Popeye’s Favorite Food Was “Chicken” Wins $10K in Popeyes Food

Last week, a sudden-death battle on Family Feud Canada went viral after host Gerry Dee asked contestants to name Popeye’s favorite food and Eve Dubois–thinking of the fast-food chain, not the cartoon character–replied, “Chicken.” Dubois and her family lost out on $10,000 because of her bone-headed answer, but now Popeye’s is giving it back to her–in food, of course.

“Our survey says you got that right,” Popeye’s tweeted at Dubois over the weekend. “DM us to claim your $10,000 worth of Popeyes.” For what it’s worth, the cartoon Popeye’s favorite food was spinach, which actually pairs quite well with fried chicken.

For the record, Popeye’s favorite food was spinach.
