It seems that a joint track between Carrie Underwood and Florida Georgia Line wasn’t “Meant to Be” after all. Remember back in February, when FGL took to social media to pitch Underwood on a song they thought might make for a “massive collaboration?” Well, this week the duo admitted in a CMT interview that Underwood didn’t take the bait. “No, we got turned down on that one; you don’t win em all,” Tyler Hubbard admits. “I guess she didn’t love it as much as we did, but that’s all right.” Hubbard added, “I think she said it was amazing and she’d love to, but it was right around her book tour release and so she was super busy and didn’t really have time.”

The breezy tune–which FGL co-wrote with Julia Michaels and seemed like a summer-ready hit–featured lyrics like, “It’s like heaven havin’ you to hold / My sweet iced tea, my little country gold.”
