Fred Meyer To Start Using Re-Usable Packaging
Re-usable packaging is already a popular concept in Europe, but local Fred Meyer stores are aiming to bring the practice to the Portland area with a new company called Loop.
Loop utilizes durable materials, like glass or stainless steel, to package popular brand-name products. You pay a deposit to use the service, and then you bring back the packaging materials and get your deposit back.
This will be launched at 25 area Fred Meyer stores.
