“Friends” Reunion Special Delayed at HBO Max Over Pandemic

The Friends reunion special, which was set to begin filming this month, has become just the latest event to be canceled because of the coronavirus. Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the unscripted special was to film next week at Stage 24 of the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank, California.

The new streaming service HBO Max had hoped to use the special to promote its launch in May, although it will still have the entire library of the series available to subscribers. HBO Max remains on track for its May launch, although there’s no official date yet.
