ICYDK – US Bank Tower Name, Heatwave Closing Schools, & Lazy Oregonians

US Bank is leaving the US Bank tower in downtown.  Big Pink, as most people know it, is gonna be looking for a new name pretty soon as US Bank is moving a bulk of its workforce to other offices downtown, as well as to the US Bank office in Gresham.  Excited to see what the new name will be, but you know it’s gonna be Moda Tower or something.

This heatwave we’re experiencing is probably gonna be a record, and it got me thinking yesterday, “can schools even handle heat like this?”  Turns out they can’t, as these school districts are doing early-release.  Estacada, Oregon Trail, Colton, Gervais, & Parkrose Elementary schools.  We are not a hearty people here in the Valley.  We need it nice.

Turns out we’re not hard-working either, as Oregon has ranked near the bottom of the most-hard-working states study by WalletHub.  It took things like, how many jobs we have, how much leisure time we have, how long our workday is, stuff like that, and Oregon came in 41st on the hard-working list, which now that I’m saying it, feels like a good thing.
