ICYDK – ComicCon Came, Jelly Roll In Oregon, & Local Football

Rose City ComicCon happened this weekend at the Convention Center, and a number of pretty cool guests showed up: Hayden Christensen was here, Jason Isaacs, John Cho, Katee Sackhoff came home, Tom Welling, The Shaun Of The Dead guys, all three Blues Clues guys, and Patton Oswalt.  Look for all those faces flying out at PDX today.

When Jelly Roll was here in town last week, he also stopped by and did his favorite thing that his fame has allowed him to do…  to reach out and connect with men who are paying their debt to society.  Jelly (along with Voice contestants Jacquie Roar & Huntley) visited the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem, and performed a show… the ticket price?  Good behavior.  

And finally, football is underway in America again as the NFL season began this weekend.  In our area, the Seahawks won their opener, the Ducks came away with it in a squeaker, the Beavers routed their game, Washington State won, the Huskies won, it’s frankly a good time to hit up your Dad for money, ‘cause chances are he’s feeling good.
