ICYDK – Oregon State Future, New Corn Mazes, & Downtown Revitalization
Despite both teams winning their home openers this weekend, the future is a little less sure for your Oregon State Beavers. You know the Pac-12 is only two teams this year, and they’ve just announced that they may not be playing the Mountain West conference next year either. Yikes, I don’t know, OSU and WSU might be playing Central Catholic next year.
Two Sauvie Island corn mazes have been revealed, both with a nice message. The MAiZE, at the Pumpkin Patch is part of over 75 corn mazes across the US paying tribute to Peanuts on Peanuts’s 75-year anniversary, and Bella Organic Farm on Sauvie has a “Thank You Teachers” maze this year, which any school employee can get into for free.
And finally, I expect you haven’t noticed, but downtown Portland is not what it was a year ago. Drugs are illegal again, and the cops are hitting that hard, the camping ban is in effect and cops are enforcing that, they caught 17 shoplifters in one big mission this weekend, and the graffiti clean-up is at full-tilt. Just saying, before you talk s***, make sure you’re up to date.
