ICYDK – Portland’s Traffic Ranked, Partial Lunar Eclipse, & Vote For Jacky
We got a sorta interesting ranking in a recent traffic survey here in Portland. According to research, our traffic lasts a long time. We have 6 ½ hours of rush hour here, which is the 4th worst in the nation, behind LA, DC, & Seattle, BUT, we seem to handle it pretty well, because our average commute time is one of the best in the nation. I guess we’re good at traffic?
Another eclipse is happening tonight in our skies, and there’s a reason I’m telling you about it. It’s a partial lunar eclipse of our super full harvest moon that begins this afternoon and peaks at about 7:45 this evening. The reason I’m telling you about it is… there’s no way you’re gonna be able to see it; the clouds ain’t going nowhere.
We all gotta do our part to make sure Jacky gets the gold in a national contest. Jacky regularly patrols TriMet, and is an explosive-detection K9 unit for the Port of Portland, but also went to the SuperBowl this year, the Olympic Trials, the All-Star Game, and the World Athletic Championship. It’s the American Humane Hero Dog Awards; Google it and vote.
