ICYDK – Powerball Scam, Paul Giamatti, & Winterhawks Cheering

If you get a text from Charlie Saephan, the Powerball Winner…  you didn’t get a text from Charlie Saephan.  Here’s the scam; your phone bing bongs, “hey, call me at this number, and I’ll share my winnings with you!”  You call the number, and guy who sounds like it could be him starts asking you for information.  It’s a scam, OK?  Always.  Win your own billion dollars like everybody else.

Award-winning actor Paul Giamatti is gonna be in town tomorrow, because he is filming an episode of his podcast here.  It’s called Chinwag, and it’s a discussion between him and his co-host, who is a philosopher.  They’re filming at Revolution Hall in front of a live audience, and there’s no way he’s coming to Portland and not eating somewhere, so eyes peeled.

And finally, it is safe to say that the Portland Winterhawks loss to MooseJaw last night in Saskatchewan is because we didn’t cheer hard enough.  This series is for the WHL Championship, and last night’s loss put them down 3 games to nothing, and another loss tonight will end the season…  so c’mon…  do your part…  go Hawks.  Cheer loudly today.
