ICYDK – WNBA In Portland, Top Pizza Joint, & The Merger Decision

It is official as of this morning…  Portland will be getting a WNBA team.  The Bhathal Family is who is making this happen, they’re the ownership group that owns the Portland Thorns, as well as a piece of the Sacramento Kings.  They’re throwing a party today at Moda Center to celebrate the new team, which will be called…  we don’t know yet.  Please make it cool.

Ken’s Artisan Pizzeria, arguably Portland’s most famous pizza joint, has made the top list again, although it did drop a couple spots.  Top 50 pizza joints on the planet…  Ken’s Artisan Pizza is the 27th best pizzeria in the world, down from 18 last year.  If you’ve never been, it’s over by Central Catholic in Laurelhurst area, go today.  Or…  go to Little Caesar’s; you do you.

And finally, the decision about whether grocery giants Kroger & Albertsons will be able to merge rests with one lady, and she’s a Portlander.  US District Court Judge Adrienne Nelson heard closing arguments yesterday in downtown, and will now spend the next who-knows-how-long making her decision.  Whether we get Piggly-Wigglys or not, comes down to her.
