Intoxicated Driver Crashes Into Power Pole on Stafford Road

WEST LINN, Ore. — A driver crashed into a power pole on Stafford Road near Newland Road just south of Interstate 205 early Tuesday morning, leaving it dangling across the road.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s office is investigating it as a DUII.  The man behind the wheel was arrested.

Stafford Road is closed between SW Schatz Road and Mountain Road while Portland General Electric makes repairs.  The closure could last for several hours.
