If you are old enough to remember this day in history then you will never forget where you were.
I was in 7th grade at Cascade Middle School. It was the first period of the morning and I remember our teacher getting a phone call and then rushing to the TV to turn it on. Now, I know what I was seeing but I don’t think I understood the weight of it all until many years later when I started to understand what our nation was, was threats were and what death was. I even remember that I was wearing denim overalls and a bright pink shirt.
I will never forget. My prayers today are for all those that have had to deal with the losses and the pain of this tragedy. Lord, thank you for all the first responders, fire fighters and police officers that were so brave that day. All the men and women who lined up to give blood that day and the days following to help those in need and to our government for making sure this type of attack could not and will not happen on our soil again.
And, God Bless The United States of America.
