The world is about to get a lot more excellent.
Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter announced Monday that they are officially reuniting to film a third Bill & Ted film, aptly titled Bill & Ted Face the Music.
The actors shared the news in a video filmed at the Hollywood Bowl and posted online Wednesday. “We want to say thank you to the fans,” the pair say in the clip. “Because it looks like we might, actually, hopefully, make a movie this summer.” They also tell their fans to “be excellent” before signing off. The third film will once again find Reeves portraying Ted “Theodore” Logan and Winter reprising his role as Bill S. Preston, Esq. It is being directed by Dean Parisot from a script by original creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. The two previous films were 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey. Bill & Ted Face the Music will hit theaters on August 21, 2020.
