It’s shaping up to be a busy travel weekend over the Fourth of July

What are you’re travel plans for the 4th of July, Hitting the road will be the most popular means of travel over the Fourth according to the newest travel forecast from the Travel Channel.
65 percent of Americans are planning to take a trip by car. 22 percent of Americans say they plan on flying domestically, 18 percent plan on flying internationally, and 13 percent plan on taking a cruise.
The Travel Channel says that the findings align with two key summer travel preferences: short getaways and road trips. The brand’s research indicates that 62 percent of Americans plan on taking a weekend or long weekend trip, while 89 percent plan on getting to their destination by car this summer. Additionally, the Fourth of July falls on a Thursday this year, which could be making a long weekend trip more enticing.
