KELSO, Wa.— Over the weekend a Chevy Malibu was torched so was the front porch of a home in Kelso.  Cowlitz County Fire investigators say there’s evidence of arson.  They found several pieces of evidence and sent it off to the state crime lab.  Accelerant according to investigators was used.   Kelso Police responded to the 300 block of 1st Ave NW for a fire that was believed to have been intentionally ignited.  The fire initially caused damage to one passenger car then transferred to a nearby structure.  The fire was extinguished by Police shortly after arriving on scene.  No persons were injured during the event. The investigation, in cooperation with Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue, revealed the fire was intentionally set with the use of an accelerant.  Officers discovered two additional vehicles on site had windows broken out.  It appeared the vehicles damaged were targeted due to others in close proximity that were untouched. Witnesses reported seeing at least three subjects flee the scene in a black car similar to a Kia Soul.
