Loretta Lynn Honored with Bronze Statue

Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium unveiled their latest statue for the venue’s Icon Walk, honoring Kentucky’s Own Loretta Lynn during a ceremony today (10/20). Lynn stands alongside life-size statues of the late Little Jimmy Dickens and Bill Monroe, who were commissioned by the Ryman in recognition of its 125th Anniversary in 2017.

Loretta was unable to attend in-person, but shared via a statement: “Being a member of the Grand Ole Opry has been one of the greatest honors of my life. For many years I’ve stood on the stage of the Ryman Auditorium, and there’s no place like it. Now they’re unveiling the statue in my honor. It’s like I’m going to get to be there for many more years to come.”
