Man Killed in St. Helens Shooting and Police Chase Identified

ST. HELENS, Ore. – Oregon State Police have identified the man killed following a shooting and police chase in St. Helens Wednesday.

32-year-old Michael Veatch is the suspect who died, but police are still not confirming a cause of death.

He is accused of a shooting at the Chevron Station in St. Helens before driving toward Deer Island. That’s where police say deadly force was used.
