A new study suggests that men are less likely to wear a facemask in public than women – considering it a ‘sign of weakness’.

According to a report from London’s Middlesex University, men were more likely than women to view a facemask as “shameful” and “not cool”. Men were also more likely to believe they “will be relatively unaffected by the disease”.

It’s potentially an issue, since other studies have suggested that men are more susceptible to the virus than women
