Midland re-visits “Urban Cowboy” in new video

BMLGMidland is heading back to the Urban Cowboy era in their new video for “Burn Out.”

“In 1980 one of our favorite movies, Urban Cowboy was released,” the trio tweeted. “On this coming Friday we’re releasing our tribute to that cinematic masterpiece with our music video for ‘Burn Out.’”

“Here’s a [behind-the-scenes] look at the shoot. We hope that we make Bud and Sissy proud,” they added, referencing the characters played by John Travolta and Debra Winger.

In the new video, Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth subs for Gilley’s, the legendary honky tonk where much of Urban Cowboy is set.

You can check out the “Burn Out” preview on Midland’s socials now, ahead of the clip’s release Friday.
