NBC will reportedly launch an investigation into the workplace culture at America’s Got Talent after network brass had a sitdown this week with axed AGT judge Gabrielle Union. “We had a lengthy, five-hour, and what I thought to be, productive meeting yesterday,” Union tweeted Wednesday. “I was able to, again, express my unfiltered truth. I led with transparency and my desire and hope for real change.” Meanwhile, a network rep tells People, “The initial conversation was candid and productive. While there will be a further investigation to get a deeper understanding of the facts, we are working with Gabrielle to come to a positive resolution.”

The actors’ union SAG-AFTRA has also opened a probe into the circumstances surrounding Union’s departure from the Simon Cowell-produced show. Union has insinuated that her contract was not picked up after she complained about guest judge Jay Leno telling an offensive joke about Koreans eating dogs that never aired on the show. She was also allegedly told to tone down her hairstyles for being “too black.”
