New Shoes with GPS to track elderly family members with Alzheimer’s

We all know someone that has a loved one that is suffering or has had dementia. We all hear the local stories of a elderly person who went for a walk and that has not returned home and them instant panic sets in for a family.

This is freakin brilliant and I’m so mad I never thought of this, a Japanese company has come up with a small GPS tracker that can fit into a  shoe so families can keep an eye on their loved ones who are suffering with this disease .

The GPS itself can track them and send an alert to the smartphone of a relative who will be able to locate the elderly person through a map that can be viewed directly on the smartphone or on a computer.

The device is designed to send notifications when the elderly person moves 165 ft (50 m), 328 ft (100 m) or 1640 ft (500 m) away from home. In this way, we hope to reduce the instances of “lost grandparents” or other elderly family members.

If you have a loved one that is suffering this maybe something to look into right away click this link  to learn more
