Portland, Or. – The National Weather Service says waves could reach 18 to 20 feet at the Oregon Coast later this week as  several fronts move through.  Marine forecaster Scott Weishaar says typical waves in October are 8 to 10 feet.  He says they’ll likely issue a high surf advisory tomorrow. He says “the biggest waves looks like it’s going to be late Wednesday night, but more on Thursday.”

He says people ” should enjoy the one decent day today and then things are going to go downhill pretty fast.”
