New York, New York – KXL first reported last week that Portland-based activewear brand Dhvani has partnered with Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon and Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette in a campaign targeting President Donald Trump. The series of controversial images including a billboard in New York’s Times Square which features a Trump impersonator bound and gagged by models, a statement on Trump’s gag order that cut Title X funding to healthcare providers. When Portland became the front line against right-wing Proud Boys, Dhvani’s staff decided it was time to stand for something. The one-year-old company is committed to making social change, beginning with this campaign that gives a portion of sales to Planned Parenthood.

Now that billboard is sparking some outrage, some support, and even a response from President Donald Trump’s son.

We want to know what you think about the billboard. Is it okay? Should it be taken down? Tell us what you think on our KXL Facebook page.

The CEO of Dhvani, the Portland company behind the billboard, Avi Brown told The Associated Press the billboard was intended to be a comment on the Trump administration’s changes to the Title X family planning program blocking federal funding for health providers who refer patients for abortions. “We are on the right side of history,” Brown said. “The billboard is an expression of our First Amendment right. Its art is a symbol. We would never condone violence. This is about taking our country back.” Read more from our News partner KGW.
