Portland Marathon to Cause Traffic Impacts, Bridge Closures on Sunday
PORTLAND, Ore. — The 52nd Portland Marathon will take place Sunday, Oct. 6, featuring a 26.2-mile course that passes through over 20 neighborhoods. The race begins at 7 a.m. at Waterfront Park, with a half marathon and 10K also taking place. The event concludes by 1:45 p.m.
Several bridges, including the Broadway, Sellwood, and Burnside bridges, will be closed to traffic during the race. Expect road closures throughout the course, with streets reopening once the last runner passes and traffic control devices are removed.
Parking will be restricted on race routes from 2 p.m. Saturday to 2 p.m. Sunday, with vehicles left on the route subject to “courtesy towing.” For details on closures and parking, visit portlandmarathon.com.
