The Toronto Raptors beat the Golden State Warriors 114-110 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night to win Canada’s first-ever NBA Championship.

The Raptors were led by guard Kyle Lowry, who had 26 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds, while Pascal Siakam contributed 26 points and 10 rebounds and Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard added 22 points. The Warriors had a chance to take the lead while trailing 111-110 with 9.6 seconds left, but Steph Curry missed a 3-point attempt, and after a mad scramble for the ball, the Warriors called a timeout they didn’t have and were issued a technical foul. This gave Leonard a technical free throw with 0.9 seconds left to seal it.  Andre Iguodala went for a layup as the buzzer sounded but it went to review and the basket was called off before Leonard’s two free throws. That took them to the 114-110 win over the Warriors.

The Raptors became the first team based in Canada ever to win the championship.
