Rudy Gobert’s Utah Jazz Teammate, Donovan Mitchell, Also Tests Positive for Coronavirus
On Thursday, a second Utah Jazz All-Star, guard Donovan Mitchell, tested positive for coronavirus–one day after center Rudy Gobert’s diagnosis led to the postponement of the team’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder and, ultimately, the indefinite suspension of the entire NBA season. ESPN reports that several Jazz players have said privately that Gobert (pron. Go-Bear) “showed a cavalier attitude toward the virus with his teammates in the locker room, touching them and their belongings.”
Gobert also made fun of the virus during the team’s media availability on Monday, touching reporters’ microphones at the end of the session.
