Ryan Seacrest Says “American Idol” Will Use New Tech to Deliver Full Season

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest told TMZ Tuesday that the show will deliver a full season using while keeping performers, crew and judges safe. Seacrest made the comments from his home studio, and said the show will use new technology to recreate all the show’s normal elements: singers’ performances, judges’ comments and fan voting.

Seacrest said that producers are still working out the details of exactly how it will all work. The show has one episode pre-recorded that will air on April 5, so any new shows with a new format will follow that.
