A well-placed cameo in a movie can really delight an audience.  I’m a sucker for a good cameo.  When William Shatner shows up unexpectedly, I sit forward in my chair.  Seann William Scott is another; I light up when Stifler appears in my movie.

David Hasselhoff does his fair share of cameos, and they’re usually to great comic effect.  The above clip is a good example.  So is this one:

And this one:

See?  Fun!  You can count on David Hasselhoff to make you smile for a minute!

But only for a minute.

I feel the same way about snow.  Yesterday morning, when I threw back the curtains to see a blanket of white covering the world, I lit up!  It’s great!  “Yay, Hasselhoff!”  And then…  about an hour went by, and I was about done with it.  I wanted to get stuff done outside yesterday, but I can’t do that with snow covering everything.  I had plans to meet with friends last night, but the snow gave everybody an excuse to cancel on me.  Then I had to get up an extra hour early this morning to make sure I could make it into work today.

Snow is awesome and magical and fun…  as long as it knows when to leave.  Like Hasselhoff.
