Stumptown Fil Says Early Spring

Ha!  Take THAT, Punxsutawney Phil!

This morning, as he does every Groundhog’s Day, Punxsutawney Phil in Punxsutawney, PA, forecasts the coming of an early spring by judging whether he can see his shadow or not.  He did.  He says it’s going to be 6 more weeks of winter.

But who cares?  Because “Stumptown Fil,” better known as Filbert, the REAL animal prognosticator at the Oregon Zoo, is forecasting an early spring this year!  He popped out and said as much just a couple hours ago, and as far as I’m concerned…  that’s solid.

Where’s my swimsuit?!?
