Because growing up is hard to do, The Wall Street Journal reports that cities across the U.S. are sponsoring “adult recess” events that have attracted hundreds of adults at a time to parks stocked with hula hoops, Frisbees, kickballs, tetherball poles, Twister mats, and childish snacks like chicken nuggets and grilled cheese sandwiches. “I thought back to the last time when I really had fun, and it was these games when I was a kid,” said Clay Lundquist, managing director of Center Stage Entertainment Marketing, which produced an adult recess in Seattle that attracted some 1,000 men and women on a recent Saturday.

Meanwhile, in Indiana, a recent online flyer for a similar event read, “Do you remember that feeling you had as a child from the recess bell?”

Let’s make this a thing!  Perhaps we’d all be able to work out a little more stress this way!
