UFCW Local 555 And Fred Meyer Finally Agree

A tentative deal has been reached between Fred Meyer and the U-F-C-W Local 555 union, which represents 25-thousand grocery workers across Oregon and Southwest Washington. The union called for a boycott last week after contract negotiations stalled out again. The boycott of Fred Meyer has been called off following a two-day bargaining session that went through the night into Saturday morning.
