Volunteer To Help Disabled Veterans

Disabled American Veterans is a group that helps disabled veterans.  It is nothing more than a group dedicated to helping those who answered the call when their country needed them, and paid a costly price for doing so.

What’s great about Disabled American Veterans is that you don’t need any expertise in any area to help out.  A lot of what these people do is just give vets a ride to their doctor’s appointments.  Or help them rake their leaves.  Or fix their leaky sink.  Or pick something up at the store.  Or any number of simple chores that most people can take care of without a thought.

Because of the pandemic, Disabled American Veterans lost about a third of their volunteers.  This is where we can step up.  This is not a big commitment; you can work with them to figure out when you can help out, and you’ll be making a direct, community-based impact on somebody who stood in between you and danger.
