ACM Awards Postponed Due to Coronavirus Outbreak
The Academy of Country Music has postponed its annual awards show. People reports the Academy made the announcement about the ACM Awards on Sunday. The show was originally scheduled to air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 5. Reigning entertainer of the year Keith Urban was slated to host. “The health and safety of our artists, fans, industry, staff and partners is our number one priority,“ the Academy said in a press release.
The awards show will be rescheduled to air on CBS in September. Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett and producer Dan Huff lead the nominations with five each. Refunds will be issued for tickets to the ACM Awards and related events.
