WHAT: A day of fun for the whole family and a chance to learn more about the Hillsboro Airport—the region’s integral transportation system which is home to local corporate flight departments, a corporate air shuttle service. Hillsboro Airport, Oregon’s second busiest airport, is opening its runway for the annual Air Fair on Saturday, October 28thfrom 11am to 3pm. The event is free, family-friendly and will again feature “behind the scenes” airfield tours, interactive booths, children’s activities including face painting, and aircraft on display. Popular food truck Koi Fusion will be on hand with lunch and snacks for purchase. Free coffee and hot chocolate will be provided by Human Bean.

Informational booths including: Federal Aviation Administration, Oregon International Air Show, Portland Community College and Port of Portland Noise Management
Standalone Exhibits including: Customs and Border Protection, Hillsboro Aero Academy/Portland Community College Aviation Science program, Hillsboro Fire Department, Hillsboro Flying Club, and the Civil Air Patrol
Kids Fun Zone: Activities for children and photo booth
About the Airport:
The Hillsboro Airport is an integral part of the region’s transportation system, providing nearly 1,000 jobs for the community, ranging from mechanics to parts suppliers to rental car operators. It is home to local corporate flight departments, a corporate air shuttle service, aircraft charter services for business travel, air ambulance services, TV news helicopters, flight schools, aircraft maintenance repair operations and an on-call Customs and Border Protection office for international flights.
