Flu Making A Comeback, Because Obviously
Last year, the flu numbers were almost non-existent. The precautions we were taking to stop the spread of COVID-19 were more than enough to completely flatten the curve for influenza, and as such, the numbers dropped to nearly zero.
This month though, the flu is seeing a surge, which usually happens during the winter months. However, the lack of masking, the lack of social distancing, and the fact that nobody got flu shots this year is contributing to a late-game spike in flu infections. For 4 weeks now, they’ve seen a steady increase in flu cases.
