Garth Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood will take to the stage at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry for the next episode of its Saturday-night broadcast. Nash Country Daily reports that the weekend tradition has been taking place during the pandemic without an audience, and with performers socially distancing from one another onstage. The performance will air live on Circle Television and on the network’s Facebook and YouTube pages. “Me and Miss Yearwood—we’re going to be doing the Opry,” Brooks said Monday on his Facebook Live series Inside Studio G. “I’m going to do some of the greatest country music on the planet for me. So, I’m sure there’s probably going to be some [George] Jones, there’s going to be some Randy Travis, some [George] Strait, [Merle] Haggard…This is going to be a fun Saturday night right here.”
