The PGE Outage map is still reporting 10s of thousands of people without power, but about ⅔ as much as yesterday, so they’re out there working hard.  But keep in mind…  this is not over.  Snow and freezing rain comes back tomorrow.  The biggest problem for most families?  Kids are starting to realize they were already off today for MLK, and this is a wasted snow day.

A lot of roads are closed as well, but it’s largely roads that should be closed, parts of Skyline, the high parts of Cornell, and then some random fallen trees.  I heard rumors of people going over Cornelius Pass this morning…  I wouldn’t do that.  There’s brave and there’s foolish.

And finally, with more weather coming tomorrow, wanted to pass this along from the police, for this storm and future ones, if you HAVE to abandon your car…  call them.  They’ll be way more understanding.  If you can’t call, leave a note.  And remember when you abandon it, we’re the only part of the country that does that.  Weird, huh?
