ICYDK – Big Cats In Oregon, Movies In Downtown, & Barbie At OMSI

Down outside of Silverton, there’s a place called WildCat Ridge Sanctuary, and Maharani, Hirah, Indira, Svengali, Cosmo, & Rajiv are the newest residents?  Who are these beautiful creatures?  They’re Siegriend & Roy’s cats.  And now they live in Oregon.  Tours are not easy to get, but it’s doable at their Website.

It’s hot during the day, but it’s pretty lovely outside at night these days, and they’re playing movies in Pioneer Square downtown all day this weekend.  All sports movies, The Sandlot, Talladega Nights, Happy Gilmore…  should be a fun time in downtown this weekend.

And finally, speaking of movies…  if you wanna see the Barbie movie on the biggest screen in Portland?  OMSI is hooking it up.  The Empirical Theater is 61 feet wide, 40 feet tall.  I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a movie in there…  but it’s not that good really.  You gotta look around a lot, but it’s fun to do once.
