You’re gonna start seeing cruise ships again on the Columbia River, as American Cruise Lines has just signed a one-year deal to start ferrying tourists up and down the river into Washington on five ships.  Now, you might think, why would anyone do a 9-day cruise of the Columbia, but remember, there are people who live in much crappier places, and our part is heavenly.

While they’re cruising, they could unfortunately be watching some wildfires in Washington, as the snowpack in Washington is about about 60% of normal.  Most of the storms that would normally fill the rivers went to Canada or California, so irrigation and hydropower are gonna be a problem this summer, probably even worse than last summer.

And finally, Ridgefield is gonna get an In-N-Out, but looks like Beaverton still wants one too, as the permit to build one on Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway has finally been approved after years of battle.  The permit will put it at 107th and Beaverdale Highway, which you may note, is where the Chick-Fil-A is, which is of course the first sign of the traffic apocalypse.
