ICYDK – Comic Book Studies, Pumping Gas Repeal, & Half-Price Zoo Tickets

Portland being Portland again, Portland State University has launched a comic studies program.  You can learn about the history of comics and how they have inspired a new wave of movies & TV shows, knowledge that you can definitely use in your future career as a comic book-a-tician?  Sounds fun.

UFCW Local 555 is hoping to bring back Oregon’s ban on pumping our own gas.  According to them, “it doesn’t do anything good for Oregonians unless you’re a gas station owner,” and it’s hurting jobs.  Bro, we already voted that we don’t care about that.  You can ignore this story, it’s not going anywhere.  

And finally, if it’s been a minute since you been to The Oregon Zoo, admission is going to be half-price end of next week.  Before ZooLights kicks off, this’ll be a good chance to go during the day, see the new owls and the new gibbon…  y’know, memories at The Zoo.  Always good.
