Building a roof over I-5 is the big story today, as $450M has been earmarked by the feds to further the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement project.  The money is being seen as a bit of an apology for building I-5 right through the Albina neighborhood many years ago, so not only will a roof be built over the freeway, but cool stuff on top of the roof as well.

Not far south, not much needs to be done about the Oregon Museum of Science & Industry, as it has just been named the best science museum in America, according to Newsweek magazine.  Keep in mind, this is a category that includes MSI in Chicago & the Smithsonian, so OMSI has some legit bragging rights today.

And bragging rights were being doled out all over Oregon this weekend as high school basketball wrapped up.  Your local champions were the Silverton girls in the 5A tourney, and in 6A, the ladies of Benson almost did it but lost to S. Medford, and congrats to Central Catholic for beating Roosevelt in 6A mens.  Gonna be a good day at school.
